RJ Hampshire wins the Red Bud 2 Overall!

Going into the first ever ‘double header’ Pro Motocross weekend what a short turnaround time of only a couple of days between Red Bud 1 and Red Bud 2, no one really knew what to expect.  Fitness would play a pivotal role and recovery would more important than ever before as riders looked to rest up as much as possible in between races.

In the 250 class, RJ Hampshire was on top of both his fitness and recovery throughout the weekend as he notched a 2nd overall at Red Bud 1 and backed it up with an overall win at Red Bud 2!  Hampshire rode fantastic all weekend and limited his mistakes to give him his second overall career victory!  An overall win is impressive no matter the scenario but considering that RJ is only 3 months removed from an ACL knee surgery it is extremely impressive to see him back competing and winning at the highest level.

RJ Hampshire takes the overall win at Red Bud 2!

In the 450 class, the trio of Henry Miller, Fredrik Noren and Justin Rodbell all found themselves very close to one another in terms of their overall results with all three of them hovering slightly above or below 15th overall position for both Red Bud 1&2.  Noren had outstanding speed the first moto but suffered an odd mechanical problem giving him a DNF and ending his chances at a higher overall finish on the day.  Henry Miller and Rodbell both rode well and were some of the top privateers in the field overall…Henry Miller actually ended up riding a good portion of a moto without a seat after suffering a crash but didn’t give up and finished the moto in 26th overall.
